PUMPKIN PASTA SAUCE

This pumpkin pasta sauce is easy to make in 20 minutes with a handful of simple ingredients.

Ingredients:

Salted butter

Garlic

Onion

Pumpkin puree

Heavy cream

Fresh sage

Chicken broth

Parmesan cheese

Pumpkin pasta is a cozy and delicious fall dinner!

Begin by cooking the butter, onion, garlic and sage in a 5-quart saucepan, covered, until the onion is soft (about 5 minutes), stirring often.

Then, add the pumpkin puree, heavy cream, chicken broth, parmesan cheese, ½ tsp sea salt, paprika and pepper and stir to combine.

Simmer the sauce for 15-20 minutes, or until it is warm. Do not let it come to a boil. Taste and adjust salt and pepper as desired.
