YELLOW RICE (TURMERIC RICE)

This yellow rice recipe is richly flavored with spices like turmeric, garlic, cumin, coriander and cilantro.

Ingredients:

Long grain white rice

Onion powder

Garlic powder

Turmeric

Coriander

Cumin

Sea salt

Chicken broth

Turmeric rice is easy to make in 30 minutes. It’s a vibrant, healthy side dish!

Begin by combining the rice, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, turmeric, coriander, sea salt and pepper in a small bowl, then set it aside.

Next, bring the chicken broth (or water) to a boil in a 5-quart saucepan. Once boiling, add the rice mixture, cover and return to a boil.

Once boiling, reduce heat to a simmer and simmer (covered) until the rice is cooked (about 20 minutes).
