The best strawberry banana smoothie recipe is easy to make in less than five minutes. It's healthy and made with yogurt so it's full of protein - the perfect snack or breakfast!
Place the ingredients in the order listed in the container of a Vitamix (or another high-powered blender).
Blend starting on low speed and increasing to high for 30-60 seconds or until the mixture is smooth and homogenous.
Pour into cups and serve immediately!

Notes
Add Spinach
I almost always add spinach when I make this smoothie for my family, and it doesn't change the taste or texture at all (If you use a Vitamix) - however it does turn the smoothie brown. Add it with the fruit.
Add Protein Powder
If you'd like to add more protein without effecting the flavor at all, I'd recommend adding a scoop of unflavored collagen protein!
To intensify the vanilla flavor you can also add a scoop of your favorite vanilla protein powder! Just be aware that the flavor of the protein powder you choose will effect the flavor of this recipe!
Ingredient substitution notes:
Milk. Any dairy or non-dairy milk can be used with great results! Just remember, the higher the fat content of your milk, the creamier and richer your Strawberry Banana Smoothie will be!
Honey. Any liquid sweetener works well in this recipe!
Strawberries. You can use fresh or frozen strawberries in this recipe!
Banana. Make sure the banana is frozen for the best, creamiest results.
Yogurt. Greek yogurt is my preference for its high protein and lower sugar content. I also love Icelandic yogurt because it is thick and creamy! But really, any yogurt will do! I recommend using a vanilla flavored Greek yogurt for the best taste! If you use a plain variety of yogurt you may need to use more honey to get the sweetness just right!
To make your smoothie thicker:
The key to making thick smoothies is using frozen ingredients. If you want the thickest creamiest Strawberry Banana Smoothie use frozen banana and frozen strawberries! You can even freeze some cubes of milk to have on hand to use in smoothies. Using frozen milk cubes will make it thick and creamy without diluting the flavor with ice.
