This winter fruit salad recipe is a fresh and healthy dish to make during the colder months. In-season winter fruit is tossed in a simple honey lemon dressing to keep it from browning. A great side dish for the holidays!
In a small bowl, whisk together honey and lemon juice.
In a large bowl, combine the prepared fruit, saving about ¼ cup pomegranate seeds for garnishing.
Drizzle the dressing over the fruit and stir until it’s evenly distributed.
Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with pomegranate seeds.
Cover and chill for 1 hour, then serve.

Ingredient Substitutions
Fruit. I used a combination of our favorite in-season fall/winter fruits. You can switch it up and use your favorites. Some suggestions include: bananas, mandarin oranges, passionfruit, persimmons, tangerines, oranges, and grapefruit.
Lemon juice. Thankfully, lemons are also in season in the winter. You can use freshly squeezed lemon juice or bottled.
Honey. agave or maple syrup can be used in place of honey.
Store
Store leftover winter fruit salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. The dressing keeps the fruit fresh and prevents the apples/pears from browning. If you choose to add bananas, it won't last quite as long.
