Ingredient Substitutions
Olive oil. For the best flavor use a high-quality olive oil, you can also use avocado or canola oil.
Spices (paprika, garlic powder, onion powder). One of the things that makes this recipe special is the spice mixture that coats each piece of chicken. Feel free to adjust it to your tastes, if desired.
Dried oregano. I used dried oregano but you can use fresh if desired.
Hummus. Choose your favorite variety and flavor - and feel free to mix it up! Roasted red pepper hummus, spicy hummus, etc. would be great.
Lemon juice. freshly squeezed or bottled both work well!
