This best hamburger recipe is an easy and delicious meal to toss on the grill and enjoy with a variety of toppings (and of course is best served on homemade burger buns)! Learn how to make hamburger patties with only 4 ingredients - guaranteed to be the best burgers you've ever had!
Preheat the grill to high (about 450 to 500 degrees F)
Combine the ground beef, barbecue sauce and 1 Tablespoon Montreal seasoning in a large bowl.
Form the mixture into 8, quarter-pound patties that are about 4” in diameter. Set the patties on a large baking sheet.
Brush one side of the patties with olive oil and use the remaining Montreal seasoning to lightly sprinkle each patty. (you will be sprinkling both sides of the patties to use the seasoning accordingly).
Flip and repeat, brushing the second side with olive oil and sprinkling with seasoning.
Grill the burgers on the first side for 3-4 minutes, flip and grill on the second side for 3 minutes or until they reach an internal temperature of 155 to 160 degrees F in the center (this varies depending on how you like your burgers cooked and the thickness of your patties).
Serve immediately on buns with your favorite condiments.
