Bunny Bait is a fun and festive Easter treat that's easy to make with 8 ingredients. White chocolate, salty pretzels, crunchy cereal and easter candies are coated in white chocolate - a sweet & salty snack that's completely irresistible.
Line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat, wax paper or parchment paper. Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine rice Chex cereal and pretzel pieces.
Melt white chocolate chips and butter either in the microwave or over a double boiler.
Pour white chocolate mixture over cereal/pretzel mixture and stir to combine.
Stir in M&Ms, mini eggs and sprinkles.
Spread the bunny bait out onto a large baking sheet in an even layer.
Let sit at room temperature until hardened (1-2 hours). Once hardened, gently break apart the pieces with your hands. (This process can be sped up by placing the snack mix in the refrigerator or outside on a chilly day).
If desired, sprinkle the mixture with powdered sugar before it hardens completely. (see notes)

Ingredient Notes
White Chocolate. If using real white chocolate (no corn syrup - highly recommended for taste), the final product will have a yellowish tint - which can be remedied with a sprinkling of powdered sugar. If you choose to use white candy melts, the coating will be pure white. Use white chocolate chips, bars, or candy melts.
Salted butter. unsalted works well too.
Candy. Choose your favorite easter candies.
Sprinkles. I love adding sprinkles to this bunny bait to make it extra festive.
Powdered sugar. this is optional if you'd like to add a dusting of white.
StoreStore leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
