We celebrated another birthday, went skiing, and spent lots of time at the beach!

“I can’t remember all the times I tried to tell myself to hold on to these moments as they pass.”

Welcome to “Moments” here on JoyFoodSunshine. This is when I interrupt my typical recipe content, and take time to share our family’s favorite moments from the month! Here it is for February 2026!

My Favorite Things – February! ♥️

Here are my favorite things this month! We spent half of the month at the beach, so there are a few spring break/summer items tossed in here! 🙂 Also be sure to check out my ShopMy and Amazon storefront for all my favorite things!

K turns 7!

My sweet baby girl turned seven this month! She chose to spend the day skiing and it truly was a wonderful day in the mountains.

She chose crepes for her birthday breakfast, shirley temples were her drink of choice, and of course Eclair Cake for dessert!

K is a sweet, spunky and smart little girl. We call her our “delicate” child but she definitely has a tough side as well. We had the best time celebrating her!

Instagram Highlight

This month we had a lot of life happening, so I wasn’t as present on social media. But I did share a few of my favorite recipes like cottage cheese pancakes which I eat every day for breakfast, and sausage pasta one of my family’s favorite dinners.

Snapshots

Some moments from February.

After K’s birthday the next big event was a school dance for b!

Then, we went to Florida for two weeks and it was glorious.

G started playing on a flag football league with a good friend.

And probably the most significant thing that happened was my sweet K had to go to the hospital. I won’t share details, but watching your child suffer is the most heartbreaking thing in the world. We are praising God that she is home now and even though we’re still on the road to recovery she is doing so well.

And that’s it. How was your February?
