Ingredient Substitutions
Avocados. This recipe calls for two, medium avocados. 3 small or one XXL avocado would work.
Fresh Basil. I don't recommend substitutions, but if you must, dried basil could be used, but it will change the taste of the sauce (but it will still be great)!
Olive Oil. Avocado oil is the best substitute.
Lemon Juice. Fresh or bottled works great.
Minced Garlic. I often substitute garlic powder for the minced garlic.
Store/FreezeStore any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 1 month.Try to let as little air as possible get to the sauce so it doesn't brown by using a container that just fits the amount you need to store, or cover the surface with extra lemon juice or plastic wrap pressed onto the surface.
