These essential oil roller blends are easy to apply and use whenever you need them. If you’re looking for natural, non-toxic home remedies for a host of different purposes then I urge you to give essential oil rollers a try.
Essential oils are very potent and powerful (see: Essential Oil Chemistry). This is why it’s important to dilute them with a carrier oil to apply them topically on your skin.
I’ve included a basic recipe, as well as different variations of that recipe for different purposes. I will also walk through how to make essential oil rollers!

Essential Oil Rollers: what you’ll need
You really don’t need too many supplies to make essential oil rollers. I re-use and re-fill the rollers I purchase from young living, too! However, to get started here are a few products I suggest:
Roller bottles: it’s far more cost effective to make your own (or reuse old bottles).
Small funnels: I actually already had a bunch of these for cooking – so I just designated one as my carrier oil funnel.
Carrier Oils. There are many different types of oils you can use to fill rollers. However, my favorite is fractionated coconut oil (or this set that comes with bottles and a funnel). I already use coconut oil on my kids’ dry skin, so this was a no-brainer for me. You can also use jojoba oil, avocado oil, etc.

Instructions
- Add the drops of essential oil to an empty, dark glass roller. *
- Fill the roller the rest of the way with a carrier oil.
- Secure the roller to the bottle.
- Tightly secure the lid.
- Gently shake and roll the bottle to combine.
Notes
*Oil amounts vary with your desired concentration and the age of the person/child using them.
By Age:
- <1: 2-3 drops essential oils.
- 2-6: up to 5 drops essential oil
- 6-12: up to 10 drops essential oil
- 13 and up: up to 15 drops essential oil.
