This French Bread Pizza recipe is a simple & delicious meal ready in 30 minutes that your whole family will love. Customize by using your favorite toppings, and of course homemade pizza sauce.
Cut the loaf of French bread in half lengthwise and set it on a bake sheet, inside facing up.
Then, brush the olive oil on the inside of both halves of the French bread.
Sprinkle garlic powder and Italian seasoning over the olive oil.
Bake in preheated oven for 5 minutes.
Remove from the oven and spread the pizza sauce over bread.
Sprinkle cheese on top of the sauce and then add toppings, if desired.
Return to oven and bake additional 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Serve warm.

Ingredient Substitution Notes
French bread. Obviously french bread is what's recommended for this recipe. But a hearty loaf of sourdough, Italian bread, or even ciabatta all work well too.
Olive oil. avocado oil works in place of olive oil.
Mozzarellacheese. I suggest a shredded, organic mozzarella for best results. Or, you can use a "pizza blend" which you can find at most grocery stores.
Toppings. choose your favorite. We usually make one half cheese, one half pepperoni.
Store/FreezeStore leftovers in a single layer in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, or in the freezer for up to 1 month.Reheat in the oven set to warm or in the microwave.
