This easy cream cheese apple dip takes less than 5 minutes with 5 ingredients. It tastes like caramel but with less sugar, making it a lighter dessert or snack, perfect served with fresh apple slices!

The first time I made this cream cheese apple dip recipe, I remember thinking it was pure magic. Cream cheese, brown sugar, honey, and vanilla combine to make a delicious, caramel-y dip that defies logic.
You seriously get the flavor of a traditional caramel apple dip, but with no finicky caramel, no need for a thermometer, etc. Just dump the ingredients into a mixer, combine, and serve.
It’s one of my favorite last-minute snacks to make for the kids when they are craving something sweet but need something healthy because it’s ready in 5 minutes flat. Serve with a sprinkle of nuts (or cinnamon sugar nuts like candied pecans or candied walnuts) for a delicious snack they’ll devour with zero leftovers.

How to Make Cream Cheese Apple Dip
Let’s walk through this recipe step-by-step, and don’t forget to watch the video.
Begin by beating the room-temperature cream cheese until light and fluffy. It’s really important that the cream cheese is room-temperature.
How to Soften Cream Cheese
If you want to make this and didn’t take it out ahead of time, you can soften it quickly in 2 ways:
- Microwave. Remove the cream cheese from the foil, place it on a microwave safe plate or in a bowl and heat for 10 seconds, then flip and repeat for 10 more seconds.
- In warm water. Keep the cream cheese in the sealed foil, put it in a bowl of warm water until softened.

Next, add the brown sugar and beat on high speed for 1 minute.

Pause and scrape down the sides after 1 minute, then beat for one more minute, or until the mixture is smooth. Then, add vanilla, honey, and sea salt.

Then, beat until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is smooth – about one more minute. The cream cheese apple dip should be smooth and a little bit “fluffy.”
Serve immediately, or chill and serve with sliced apples later.

Serve
Serve this cream cheese apple caramel dip room temperature or chilled with your favorite sliced apples. My favorites are Honeycrisp and Pink Lady apples.
I like to serve it with nuts as well, you can use crushed peanuts, candied pecans or candied walnuts.
To keep apples from browning
Soak the apples in 2 cups of water and 2 Tablespoons lemon juice to keep them from browning before serving.

Store/Freeze
Store leftover cream cheese apple dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, or in the freezer for one month. Let it thaw slowly in the fridge or on the counter – don’t microwave.
