How to Make Maple Bacon
Let’s walk through this recipe together, and don’t forget to watch the video!
Begin by lining a plate with paper towels. This will be used to transfer the cooked maple bacon to after cooking.

Then, put a wire rack on a baking sheet. Cooking the maple bacon on a rack ensure it will get crispy and caramelized as it bakes.

Then, evenly space the bacon out onto the wire rack.

Next, brush each piece of bacon with pure maple syrup. I suggest using a silicone pastry brush for this task.

Then, cook the bacon in the oven for 18-25 Â minutes until it reaches your desired doneness. Cook time varies a lot depending on the thickness of your bacon.
Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle each piece very lightly with flaky sea salt (if desired).

Then, transfer the the bacon to the paper towel lined plate to cool slightly before serving.

Serve
You can serve this maple bacon recipe as a snack, as part of a charcuterie board, or with your favorite breakfast recipes. We love serving it as a salt side to sweet breakfasts like pancakes, waffles and cinnamon rolls.

Store
I suggest storing this maple bacon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat on the stovetop over low heat or in the oven set to warm.

Maple Bacon Recipe FAQS
You can bake it on the pan, it will still be delicious.
100% pure maple syrup is definitely the best (and only) choice.
For crispy maple bacon, bake it on a wire rack set over a baking sheet. This allows the fat to drip off and the heat to circulate evenly so the bacon gets crisp without burning the maple syrup.
