I seriously don’t even know where to begin as I write this post! I started JoyFoodSunshine less than one year ago and it has been an amazing adventure…thanks to all of you amazingly beautiful readers!
For real, I am not being cliche {ok maybe I am} when I say that I have been blown away by your constant love and support during my short time here on the world wide web. I started this blog as a homeschooling momma of three who just needed something that was my own. You know what I mean? A place where I could share my passions and just be me….hoping that my experiences could help others along the way. So, I thought it was only fitting to end 2016 by sharing the recipes that YOU loved the most!
In staying true to the essence of JoyFoodSunshine, the Top 10 Recipes of 2016 are “{Mostly} Healthy Recipes for Real life!” Lots of nutrition with a few treats thrown in, because what’s life without copious amounts of chocolate and peanut butter?! 😉
Thank you for allowing me to share a little of who I am with whoever you are. For taking the time to read my ramblings and make my recipes. I look forward to many more years with you all and am grateful for each and every person who visits me! So…on to the recipes and quotes from you lovely ladies and gents who made them!
Top 10 Recipes of 2016
10) Dairy-Free Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream
This recipe is my personal favorite ice cream recipe on the planet, so I understand why it rolled in at #10!
“Uhm okay. I just made a batch of this and I should have made double. I have been trying to perfect no dairy ice cream for like eight months. I’ve tried stove methods with coconut cream and eggs, tried corn syrup, tried blending while hot to emulsify fats, you name it. This is the creamiest EVER, no grainyness, delicious and so simple! I’m kind of embarrassed to admit that I was eating the remainder out if the ice cream maker with my fingers and getting it all over my face because I didn’t want to let any go to waste. Bomb-digitty. Thank you so much.” -Maria
9) Pretzel Bread
If you read this recipe post, this bread is my husband’s love language! I’ve made it more times than I can count and am always met with pure happiness when I put two hot loves of this stuff on the table!
