How to Make Bacon Wrapped Green Beans

We will walk through this recipe step-by-step, and don’t forget to watch the video!

Begin by preheating your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (204 degrees Celsius)

Blanch the Green Beans

Then, we blanch the green beans so they are partially cooked before wrapping. To do this, bring 5 quarts of water to a boil

Then, add the green beans and cook for 2 minutes

Drain and rinse in cold water until they are no longer warm. Then, transfer them to a paper-towel lined plate and pat dry.

Assemble

Then, combine the brown sugar, sea salt, garlic powder and pepper in a small bowl.

Next, remove the bacon from the package and put it on a cutting board all in one piece (the way it is in the package). Cut the entire “block” of bacon in half, lengthwise.

If you are feeding a crowd, yes you can double the recipe?

Can I use frozen green beans?

Fresh work best in this recipe. However, if you’re using frozen beans, I suggest thawing them slightly first, and not blanching them before wrapping with bacon.

What if I use thin green beans?

If your green beans are very thin, don’t blanch them or they might be overcooked.
