This carrot fruit smoothie recipe is the most beautiful smoothie I have ever made. The vibrant orangey pink color alone will cause you to want to make this one on repeat, plus it’s absolutely delicious.

Made with 6 simple ingredients: carrots, oranges, frozen banana, frozen strawberries, honey, and milk, this carrot and fruit smoothie is naturally sweet, creamy, and super refreshing. The banana and honey add just the right amount of creamy sweetness, while the carrots are sneakily blended in, completely undetectable.

Best of all, this carrot smoothie takes less than 5 minutes to make, so it is an easy breakfast or snack for busy days. You can also customize it with add-ins like Greek yogurt, protein powder, or chia seeds to add extra protein to keep you full longer.

Carrot Smoothie: Ingredients & Substitutions

See below for some notes on the ingredients and possible substitutions.

  • Almond Milk. Any milk – dairy or nondairy – works well in this recipe. Oat milk, coconut milk, 2% milk, etc.
  • Frozen Banana. I never make a smoothie without a frozen banana. It adds creaminess and keeps the smoothie thick without needing to add ice.
  • Frozen Strawberries. I love using a red fruit because it makes this carrot smoothie so beautiful. You can use raspberries in place of strawberries. Or, if the color doesn’t matter to you, use any fruit you’d like such as blueberries, blackberries, pineapple, mango, etc.
  • Orange. A fresh orange with the peel removed is best. Blood oranges also work.
  • Add-Ins: These are optional but taste great and add some protein: protein powder, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, etc. You can add 1 cup spinach or kale, but it will change the color.

How to Make a Carrot Fruit Smoothie

We’ll walk through this carrot and fruit smoothie recipe together, and don’t forget to watch the video for additional guidance.

Begin by putting ingredients into the container of a Vitamix blender (or another high-powered blender) in the order listed.

Whenever you make smoothies, always add the liquid first to ensure it blends smoothly.

Then, blend the smoothie, starting on low speed and increasing to high speed (quickly). Blend the kale smoothie on high speed for 30 to 50 seconds until mixture is smooth.

Note on blend time

Blend time will depend greatly on if you are using frozen or fresh ingredients. If they are all frozen, blend time will be longer than if they are fresh.

Serve

Pour into 1 to 2 glasses and serve immediately.

I always enjoy my smoothies alongside other healthy breakfast recipes like cottage cheese pancakes, egg casserole, or Greek yogurt pancakes.

Store/Freeze

I suggest drinking this carrot and fruit smoothie immediately for the best texture! However, you could freeze it in a glass jar for up to 1 month. Make sure to leave room at the top of the jar for the smoothie to expand as it freezes.
